Lived Experience
Day on the Hill

LEAN is hosting a day on the hill for people with lived experience of homelessness and housing instability.

LEAN has no legislative agenda. We encourage participants to prepare to speak about whatever they feel is most important for their communities related to housing/homelessness.

Fundraiser

Many individuals with lived experience face barriers in getting to the Capitol, including financial constraints, lack of transportation, and the challenges of navigating government spaces.

We want to eliminate these barriers so they can fully engage in the democratic process. Your donation will help cover the $17,750 total budget needed to support 30-45 participants over the two days.

Navigators will assist people with lived experience of homelessness navigate the capitol to meet with their legislators. Many people with lived experience who participated last year cited navigating the capitol building as inducing a lot of anxiety-creating a barrier to meaningful engagement.
